The dashboard importer reads Shopify and WooCommerce stores by URL. Most sourcing, though, happens on marketplaces and supplier sites that do not offer a clean product feed. The AM Jarvis Chrome extension works from inside the page you are already looking at: it detects the product, shows you what it found, and sends it to your connected Shopify or WooCommerce store.
How it works
- Download it from the app. In the Product Importer, open the Any Platform tab and download the extension zip.
- Load it into Chrome. Extract the zip to a folder you will keep, open chrome://extensions, switch on Developer mode, click Load unpacked and select the folder.
- Pin it and log in. Pin AM Jarvis from the puzzle-piece menu, click the icon and log in with your AM Jarvis email and password.
- Open a product page. The popup scans the page and shows the product title and main image it detected.
- Import or edit. Pick the store, then press Import Product, or Edit Product to adjust it first.
Works where you shop for products
The extension reads the product on whatever page you are viewing. On Shopify stores it captures complete data including all variants. On WooCommerce stores it reads each variation's price, compare-at price and SKU from the store's public Store API, and falls back to the page's variation form when that API is closed. On marketplaces and other sites it reads the product data the page exposes, so titles, prices, images and descriptions come across cleanly.
| Page type | What the extension reads | Things to check |
|---|---|---|
| Shopify store | All options and variants, prices, compare-at prices, SKUs, barcodes, images, vendor, product type and tags | Nothing extra, this is the most complete source |
| WooCommerce store | Title, description, images, category, tags, and up to 100 variations with their own prices and SKUs | Stores that hide variation data give every variant the base price |
| AliExpress | Title, gallery images, up to three option names with their values, price, and the store name as vendor | Every variant gets the same price, and no description is captured |
| Amazon | Title, feature bullets or description, high-resolution images, price and the brand byline | No variants, one price only |
| Other sites | Product structured data, Open Graph tags, the visible price and gallery images | Quality depends on how the page is built |
Before sending a product, the extension removes images that are not product photos, such as payment icons, trust badges, logos and SVG or GIF files, and drops duplicate copies of the same photo at different sizes.
Locked to your account
The extension only works when you are logged in with your AM Jarvis account and your license is active. It lists the connected stores on your account, and every import is checked again on the server, so the popup cannot bypass the license. Imports from the extension land in the same stores, and show up in the same activity log, as imports from the dashboard.
Import now or edit first
Two buttons: Import Product sends it straight to the store you pick as an active product, exactly as read from the page. Edit Product opens the full editor in a new tab so you can clean the product up before it goes live. The editor is where AI rewriting and pricing rules are applied, and where you choose to publish as active or as a hidden draft.
For marketplace products, Edit Product is usually the better button. AliExpress imports arrive without a description and with one price across all variants, and Amazon pages give you a single price. A pass through the editor with AI rewrite and a pricing rule turns that raw data into a listing you can actually sell.
Who it is for
- Dropshippers sourcing from AliExpress who want the product in Shopify or WooCommerce without copying fields by hand.
- Store owners researching products on Amazon or niche retail sites.
- Anyone importing from a WooCommerce store that blocks the dashboard importer.
Limits and honest notes
- The extension is installed as an unpacked extension from the zip in the app, so keep the folder where you extracted it. Chrome runs the extension from that folder.
- Prices come across as numbers in the currency the page shows. There is no currency conversion, so choose your pricing rule with that in mind or correct prices in the editor.
- Marketplaces change their page layouts often. The parsers fall back to simpler methods when a layout changes, which can mean fewer images or a missing price. Check the detected title and image in the popup before you import.
- Products arrive without inventory tracking so they do not show as sold out.
- Having the data on screen is not the same as having the right to use it. Check your supplier's terms for photos and descriptions.
How it connects to the other AM Jarvis tools
The extension is the browser side of the Product Importer: same account, same connected stores, same editor. After import, Bulk Edit Pro handles price changes and SEO fields across everything you brought in, and the GMC Scanner flags trigger words, all-caps titles and missing barcodes before your products reach Google Shopping.
Free tools that help
AliExpress and Amazon prices are your cost, not your retail price. Work out a multiplier with the markup calculator and confirm what you keep after fees with the profit margin calculator. Marketplace imports rarely include a barcode, so use the GTIN lookup tool to check whether a product has a real GTIN you can add. The guide to importing from AliExpress to Shopify covers the supplier side.
