AM The AM Jarvis Importer extension reads a page only when you click its icon on that page, and it sends product data to your AM Jarvis account only when you click Import Product or Edit Product.
This policy covers the Chrome extension "AM Jarvis: Product Importer" published by AM Jarvis (jarvisbyam.com). The AM Jarvis web app has its own privacy policy, which also applies to the data the extension sends to your account.
What the extension does
It has one purpose: copying the product on the page you are viewing (title, description, variants, prices and images) into a store you connected to your AM Jarvis account, either directly or through the AM Jarvis editor first.
What it collects, when, and where it goes
- Your sign-in details. When you log in, the email and password you type are sent over HTTPS to app.jarvisbyam.com to check them. The extension does not keep your password. It keeps the sign-in token the server returns, so you stay logged in.
- Product details from the page you chose. When you click the AM Jarvis icon, the extension reads the current tab to find the product: its title, description, brand, product type, tags, options, variant prices, SKUs and barcodes, image addresses and the page address. On Shopify and WooCommerce stores it may also ask that same store for the product's public data (for example /products/name.json or the WooCommerce Store API). Nothing leaves your browser at this step except those requests to the store you are already viewing.
- What is sent to AM Jarvis. Only when you click Import Product or Edit Product, the product details above, the page address and the store you picked are sent to app.jarvisbyam.com, so AM Jarvis can create the product in your store or open it in the editor.
- Account information shown in the popup. The popup asks app.jarvisbyam.com for your email, plan, this month's import count and your connected stores, so it can show them to you.
- Technical data. Like any website, our server receives your IP address and browser type with each request. We use them only for security, such as rate limits and blocking abuse.
What it never does
- It does not read pages you did not open the importer on. It has no access to your tabs in the background and no content scripts that run on every site.
- It does not collect your browsing history, keystrokes, cookies, form entries, location, health, financial or payment information.
- It does not load or run code from the internet. All of its code ships inside the extension.
- It has no ads and no analytics trackers, and we do not sell, rent or share your data with advertisers, data brokers or anyone else.
What is stored on your device
Only the sign-in token, in Chrome's extension storage on your computer. Clicking Log out in the popup deletes it, and so does removing the extension.
What is stored in your AM Jarvis account
Products you import are created in your own store. AM Jarvis keeps an import history (product title, page address, result and date) so you can see what was imported, and a draft copy of any product you open with Edit Product so you can finish editing it. These stay in your account until you delete them or your account.
Who we share it with
Product data goes to the store you chose (Shopify or WooCommerce) because that is what importing means. If you turn on AI rewriting in AM Jarvis, the product text is sent to the AI provider whose key you added in Settings. We use hosting providers to run the service. We share nothing else, except when the law requires it.
Chrome Web Store user data policy
The use of information received through this extension complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use the data only to provide the importer you asked for, we do not transfer it for any other purpose, and humans at AM Jarvis read it only with your permission, for security reasons, or when the law requires it.
Your choices and deleting your data
- Log out in the popup, or remove the extension, to delete the token on your device.
- Email support@jarvisbyam.com from your account email to get a copy of your data or to delete your import history, drafts or your whole account. We act on requests within 30 days.
Children
AM Jarvis is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update the date at the top of this page, and if the change affects what the extension collects, we say so in the extension's release notes before the new version is published.
