Poshmark has the simplest fee of the big resale apps, and one of the highest. You pay nothing to list, the buyer pays for shipping, and Poshmark keeps a flat amount on small sales and a fifth of everything else. Because the fee switches at $15, a few cents of price can change what you earn, and offers and bundles change it again. This calculator gives you your earnings and profit for any sale price.
The fee rule is Poshmark's US seller fee as of October 2026. The calculator runs in your browser.
Poshmark fees in 2026
| Sale price | Poshmark fee | You earn |
|---|---|---|
| $10 | $2.95 (flat) | $7.05 |
| $14.99 | $2.95 (flat) | $12.04 |
| $15.00 | $3.00 (20%) | $12.00 |
| $25 | $5.00 | $20.00 |
| $40 | $8.00 | $32.00 |
| $100 | $20.00 | $80.00 |
The fee is charged on the final sale price, which is the price after any offer or discount you accepted. There is no separate payment processing fee and no listing fee. The buyer pays the shipping label at checkout. If you offer discounted shipping, you cover the difference, and that comes out of your earnings.
How to use the Poshmark fee calculator
- Enter the sale price after offers: the price the buyer actually paid for the item, not your original listing price.
- If you offered a shipping discount, enter the amount you cover under Shipping discount you cover.
- Enter your item cost and packaging.
- Read the Poshmark fee, your payout, profit, margin and break-even price.
The table under the calculator shows the same sale on Whatnot, Depop, Mercari and TikTok Shop for comparison.
Worked examples
A $40 dress
The fee is 20% of $40, which is $8.00, so you earn $32.00. If the dress cost you $12 and packaging $0.50, profit is $19.50, a 48.8% margin on the sale price.
The $15 threshold
At $14.99 you pay the flat $2.95 and earn $12.04. At $15.00 the 20% rate starts, the fee is $3.00 and you earn $12.00. Any price from $15.00 to $15.04 earns slightly less than $14.99 does. When an offer lands just above $15, it is fine to accept; just do not counter up from $14.99 to $15.
Bundling three $10 items
Sold separately, each $10 item pays $2.95 and earns $7.05, so three earn $21.15. Sold as one $30 bundle, the fee is 20%, $6.00, and you earn $24.00, $2.85 more, with one package to ship instead of three.
Accepting an offer
You list a jacket at $60 and accept $48. The fee is 20% of $48, $9.60, and you earn $38.40. Enter the accepted price in the calculator, since the fee follows the final price.
Covering part of the shipping
If you offer a $2 shipping discount on the $40 dress, your payout is still $32.00 but $2 of it covers the buyer's label, so profit drops to $17.50.
A month on Poshmark
Forty sales averaging $32 each pay $6.40 per sale, $256 for the month, and you earn $1,024 before item costs. If eight of those sales were items under $15 at an average of $12, each of those pays $2.95, which is 24.6% of the price. Moving small items into bundles is the simplest way to lower your overall fee rate.
Offers to likers and shipping discounts
When you send an offer to people who liked a listing, the fee is charged on the offer price, and any shipping discount you add is paid from your earnings. Before sending an offer, enter the offer price and the shipping discount into the calculator: if profit at that price is below what you want, adjust the offer or drop the shipping discount instead.
Poshmark versus eBay for clothing
A $40 dress on eBay with $8 shipping charged and 7% tax pays $7.38 in fees without a Store, but you buy the label from the shipping you collected. On Poshmark the fee is $8.00 and the buyer pays the label. The fees are close; the bigger difference is where your buyers search and how much time each listing takes. Check eBay numbers with the eBay fee calculator.
Pricing for a target profit on Poshmark
For sales of $15 or more, your earnings are 80% of the price, so price = (target profit + costs) / 0.8. For $15 profit on an item that cost $12 plus $0.50 packaging: ($15 + $12.50) / 0.8 = $34.38. The fee is $6.88, you earn $27.50, and profit is $15.00. If you expect buyers to offer around 15% below your listing price, list at about $34.38 / 0.85 = $40.45, so $41 leaves room to accept a typical offer and still hit your target.
Selling items under $15
Below $15, the fee is a flat $2.95 whatever the price, so the percentage climbs as the price falls: 19.7% at $14.99, 29.5% at $10 and 42.1% at $7. If you sell many low-priced pieces, bundle them, raise prices toward $14.99, or list them on an app with a percentage-only fee.
Poshmark versus Mercari on a $40 item
Mercari takes 10% of the item plus buyer-paid shipping: with $6.99 shipping that is $4.70 on a $40 item. Poshmark takes $8.00. On a $100 item the gap is larger: $10.70 on Mercari with the same shipping, $20.00 on Poshmark.
Poshmark compared with other resale apps
For a $40 sale, the comparison table shows Poshmark at $8.00, Mercari at $4.00, Whatnot at $4.74, TikTok Shop at $2.40 and Depop at $1.86 (each with no buyer shipping and 7% tax where processing applies). Poshmark costs more per sale, and in return the buyer pays shipping and the listing process is simple. Poshmark's audience is strong in women's clothing, shoes and bags, and many sellers find items sell there that sit elsewhere.

Pricing tips for Poshmark
- Price with room for offers. Buyers expect to make offers. Know your break-even price and the lowest offer you will take before you list.
- Bundle items under $15. The flat $2.95 takes almost 30% of a $10 sale.
- Count shipping discounts as a cost. They come straight out of your profit.
- Use the margin, not just the profit. At 20%, an item must sell for at least 1.25 times your total cost to break even.
Troubleshooting
My earnings are lower than the calculator shows
Check the final price after offers and any shipping discount you offered. Those are the two usual reasons.
Does Poshmark take a fee from shipping?
No. The buyer pays the shipping label separately, and the fee is calculated on the sale price only.
Does the calculator include Poshmark's shipping label price?
No, because the buyer pays it. Only a shipping discount you choose to cover, or the extra cost of a heavier package, comes out of your earnings; enter that under Shipping discount you cover.
Why is there no tax field?
Poshmark's fee is not charged on sales tax, and the buyer pays any tax on top of the price, so it does not affect your earnings.
